92pointsDomaine du Grand Montmirail 2017 Red (Vacqueyras)

Ripe but invigorating cassis and blackberry flavors abound in this quaffable red. A blend of 55% Grenache and 45% Syrah, it's intensely concentrated but crisply composed. The long finish is marked by fine, persistent tannins and kicks of pepper and violet. Lovely now the wine should hold through 2027. Anna Lee C. Iijima
