Domaine du Petit Clocher 2015 Cuvée Maxence Chenin Blanc (Coteaux du Layon)

Editors' Choice

The gold color immediately sets this botrytis-laden wine apart. It is a brilliantly rich wine, aged for a few months in barrel to give it even greater intensity. It's full of honey and apricot flavors and packed with intense acidity. It is tough not to drink it now, but it will age for a long time, and be best opened after 2022. Roger Voss
