Domaine Fernand Engel 2016 Praelatenberg Grand Cru Riesling (Alsace)

A spicy hint of maple syrup precedes ripe red apple notes on the nose of this wine. The palate is more lemony than the nose suggests, shining with slender, bright but concentated freshness. On the finish, the notion of apple returns, with a lovely touch of bruised apple skin. The finish is lasting and dry. Anne Krebiehl MW
