Domaine Fernand Engel 2016 Vendanges Tardives Muscat (Alsace)

Heady honeysuckle and jasmine notes take turns with aromatic mandarin and tangerine peel to create an immensely perfumed nose. The sweetness on the palate boosts these tangy but ripe citrus-zest flavors. In turn, their tanginess counters the freshness. The array of citrus permuations is mind-boggling on this late-harvest wine. Lovely now, it will certainly last. Drink until 2035. Anne Krebiehl MW
