Domaine Fernand Engel 2018 Gloeckelberg Grand Cru Pinot Gris (Alsace)

A crackle of herbal savoriness on this wine's juicy nose recalls bergamot leaf. The palate immediately sets a different note of rounded, juicy sweetness that envelopes rich baked peach. That bergamot flicker helps accentuate the concentration of the rich fruit. The finish is medium sweet, peachy and long. Anne Krebiehl MW
