Heady ripeness on this wine's nose shows a certain restraint. It speaks of peach and Mirabelle, and both these fruits duly appear on the concentrated, medium-dry palate. They are pitched against a gently chalky backdrop and have a harmonious smoothness that is more fresh than mellow, striking a subtle and textured balance. Anne Krebiehl MW
