Return to List Dare to detour, advises this gorgeous, mammoth blend of Syrah and Grenache. It's initially demure on the nose, softly perfumed with tart sour cherry and peppery herb notes. The palate takes that detour, plunging into undulating waves of richly extracted preserved-plum and cassis. A hulking wine with gripping, persistent tannins, it should yield and improve through 2030.
