Domaine la Soumade 2016 Gigondas

Hints of smoked nut, licorice and wild herb accent sumptuously ripe black plum and wild strawberry flavors here. The midpalate is fleshy and forward, cushioned by delicate acidity and fine, velvet tannins. Its open-knit demeanor is welcoming now but should drink well through 2026. Anna Lee C. Iijima
