Whiffs of sandalwood and violet lend a sultry perfume to ripe, ruddy black plums and cherries on this voluptuous red. In this mouthwatering blend of Grenache (75%), Cinsault (5%) and Syrah (20%), the palate is unctuously fruity but freshly balanced by streaks of red cassis acidity and a lingering granitic finish. Lovely already but should drink well through 2028. Anna Lee C. Iijima
