Hint of wet walnut skin and flint are subtle but distinct on the slightly reduced nose of this wine. The palate immediately poses a thick layer of chalk with airy, salty depth. Fruit almost does not come into it. This wine is all about texture, soil, stone, coolness and salt. The concentration and vividness are intense. Anne Krebiehl MW
