Domaine Marcel Deiss 2015 Gruenspiel White (Alsace)

A touch of honey clings to baked-pear notes on the nose of this wine, promising richness. The palate is generous and mellow with ripe pear but also pervaded by freshness. It has a hint of dark berry and phenolic richness that veers into oiliness, but a vein of freshness keeps this on the right side of ripeness. This wine is about power, subtle aromas and full-on texture. The finish is dry and long. Drink now–2040. Anne Krebiehl MW
