Domaine Ostertag 2016 Zellberg Pinot Gris (Alsace)

Superripe fruit on the nose veers between juicy peach and bruised apple. The palate also unites lemon-balm-like freshness with earthy pear peel and peachy, ripe fruit. This trinity is dry but concentrated, energetic and driven. The wine shows power, verve and great length, but this genie should remain in bottle for a little while longer. The peachy hints on the finish promise pleasure. Drink 2022–2035. Anne Krebiehl MW
