Domaine Ostertag 2017 Muenchberg Grand Cru Riesling (Alsace)

Crushed citrus foliage and lemon balm make for a subtle but urgent nose on this wine. The palate comes in with the same citrus freshness but also reveals peach and mirabelle. There is something quiet and assured about this rich fruit, held in a lovely frame with zest-edged, citrus-jeweled brightness. Drink 2020–2045. Anne Krebiehl MW
