Whiffs of preserved plum and cassis liqueur introduce this lustrous blend of Grenache (70%), Syrah (20%) and Mourvèdre (10%). Aged en barrique (20% new oak) for 14 months, it's a deeply concentrated, curvaceous wine shaded by sweet spice and autumn leaves. Chalky, persistent tannins are welcoming in youth, but this should drink at peak through 2030. Anna Lee C. Iijima
