Domaine de Piaugier 2004 Gigondas

This has a remarkably herbal, garrigue-laced bouquet and a ton of space. It seems less fruity than many other Gigondas, instead relying on peppery spice and sour cherry flavors. It's a less ripe style but the complexity is really something. Drink 2008–2014. Joe Czerwinski
