Domaine Pouillon 2021 Piquette White (Columbia Gorge (WA))

This is almost the color of an unfiltered cider. It leads with strong aromas of potpourri, dried ginger and red fruit. The flavors meanwhile are light—a strong contrast to the aromas—and bone dry. The mousse is very light, close to being a still wine. It's interesting, not standing on its own but would be interesting as a mixer. Sean P. Sullivan
