This wine is shy on the nose, just revealing a brooding hint of oak and red fruit. On the palate a richness appears, overlaying the concentration of the red fruit with oak to create a dense, smooth texture. Red-cherry notes blossom slowly, breaking through the tight and graceful tannic web. Freshness shows that the fruit was captured at a perfect juncture. Perfume, elegance and subtle power are all there. Anne Krebiehl MW
