Domaine Richaud 2017 l'Ebrescade Red (Cairanne)

Editors' Choice

Notes of incense and musk perfume this smoky, Mourvèdre-dominant blend (augmented by Syrah and Grenache) sourced from a high-altitude plot of 30– to 50-year-old vines. Vinified in cement and matured in seasoned foudre, it's a fresh, fruit-focused wine with delicacy and vitality. Soft in tannins, the wine is welcoming young but should maintain peak through 2025.
