Domaine Rieflé-Landmann 2016 Steinert Grand Cru Pinot Gris (Alsace)

A vanilla lick aligns with the ripe pear notes on the nose. The palate shows the rich, rounded and ripe fruit of juicy pears and a hint of marzipan but also lots of lemony freshness that corrals fruit, oak and all of that juiciness into a concentrated, dry and lingering wine. With the oak notes still fresh this will benefit from time in bottle. Drink 2020–2030. Anne Krebiehl MW
