This is such an unctuous, honeyed sip it seems to melt on the palate in a pool of waxy orange peels, caramel and poached pears. Voluptuous in texture and voluminous in body, it's lifted by sprays of salty minerals and sunny lemon acidity. Composed of primarily Grenache and Clairette (augmented by Roussanne, Picardin and Bourboulenc), it's irresistible young but should gain savory inflections well through 2030. Anna Lee C. Iijima
