Domaine Saint-Préfert 2017 Red (Châteauneuf-du-Pape)

Flavors of raspberry preserves and dried figs are peppered by violet florals, cinnamon and anise in this luminous unoaked red. Composed of 85% Grenache accentuated by 5% each of Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault, it's a plump but pristine wine packed with primary red fruit flavors and lingering on fine, persistent tannins. Best enjoyed now–2030. Anna Lee C. Iijima
