Domaine Schoffit 2019 Lieu-dit Harth Tradition Pinot Gris (Alsace)

Sticky oak meets roaring salinity on the nose of this action-packed wine. The palate is lithe, racy and savory. Its suede-like tannins work in harmony with bright acidity. The oak carries into a rather short but memorable finish with a mix of both cinnamon and smoke, and finally some of the fruit notes come through here. It's a lot to take in, but these elements all come together in a delicate balance for an intriguing sip. Layla Schlack
