Reflecting the cool 2013 harvest, this top Chardonnay is sophisticated and subtle, without the over-the-top power of the previous vintage. Toasty and tightly wound fruit flavors spotlight apple, pear and citrus, all polished and well-integrated. Barrel fermentation and oak aging add highlights of vanilla and toasted coconut. Delicious already, it will likely improve through 2021.
