This high elevation site (800–825 feet) ripens the fruit to a succulent level. This is a lush, mouthcoating wine, with a fruit mix that runs from apple to peach to papaya. The acids add a touch of pineapple, while aging 15 months in one-third new French oak brings up rich barrel flavors of nut oil and toast. Paul Gregutt
