Enticing hints of smoke and char, leather and sweet spice lend complexity to juicy, luminous blackberry and blueberry flavors. A Grenache-dominant blend augmented by Mourvèdre, Syrah, Cinsault and a dash of white grape varieties, it's a ripe but pertly concentrated wine that's approachable in its youth. Slightly sandpapery tannins should meld better from 2022. Anna Lee C. Iijima
