Domaine Sipp-Mack 2015 Rosacker Grand Cru Pinot Gris (Alsace)

A very aromatic nose sends signals of dried pear and fig with honeyed overtones. There almost is a hint of Christmas fruit cake about it. The palate adds a sharper, more citric streak to temper this evident aromatic richness and manages to pull this back into the fold of off-dry table wines. Concentration and purity are evident, as are power and alcoholic warmth—a warming wine for cold nights with an off-dry finish. Drink through 2028. Anne Krebiehl MW
