Domaine Zind-Humbrecht 2017 Clos Windsbuhl Pinot Gris (Alsace)

Gingerbread spice, candied lemon peel and pear meet on the vivid nose of this wine. The palate focuses on bright lemon. Concentration and tautness are spiked with sharp, aromatic notes of ginger and bundled pear. This wine is muscular but comes on tiptoe, carrying power but with elegant, swift movement. The finish is dry and long. Drink until 2040. Anne Krebiehl MW
