93pointsDomaines Schlumberger 2011 Spiegel Grand Cru Pinot Gris (Alsace)

Utterly glowing notes of pear already point towards richness. Notes of smoke and nuttiness prevent them from appearing facile. The palate rings with the same fruity glow and introduces soft, pliable sweetness. Earthy elements echo here and there from the concentrated, focused palate. This certainly leaves a mark and finishes almost dry. Anne Krebiehl MW
