Domdechant Werner 2016 Hochheimer Hölle Spätlese Riesling (Rheingau)

Juicy tangerine, pineapple and yellow-cherry flavors are fringed by plumes of fresh green herbs in this delicate, dancing spätlese. It's forward and fruity but steely and honed on the midpalate. The finish is marked by a lingering veil of sweetness. Approachable now but it is likely to improve through 2030. Anna Lee C. Iijima
