Domdechant Werner 2017 Kirchenstück GG Trocken Riesling (Rheingau)

#82 Top 100 Cellar Selections 2020
Return to List

Smoke and slate mingle into pristine white peach on the nose of this steely dry Riesling. It's light bodied but creamy and voluminous, offering crisp red apple and apricot flavors catapulted by spine-tingling lime acidity. Tasted in spring 2020, it's still nervous in its youth. Hold till 2022—it should improve well through 2035 and hold further still. Anna Lee C. Iijima
