Raisin, horse hide and other heavy, earthy, sun-baked aromas create a somewhat ponderous bouquet. In the mouth, this is jammy but still fully alive, tannic and grabby. Flavors of black plum, boysenberry and herbs end with a reprise of firm tannins, overt oak and related woody flavors. Drink from 2017–2030.
