Mature and smooth up front, this is showing rooty, earthy black-fruit aromas that are loamy and ripe. A shot of lively acidity creates good flow, while flavors of ripe, baked, toasty berry fruits are dark in nature and suggest espresso and bitter chocolate. A crisp, peppery, lightly burnt-tasting finish is smoky and long. Drink through 2019.
