This is a dark, heavily oaked wine, one that contains 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Syrah in addition to Malbec. The nose is less about fruit and more about wood, with sawdust aromas front and center. The plum and black currant fruit is masked by the heavy barrel influence, and the mouthfeel is heavy.
