Donedei 2003 Merlot (Columbia Valley (WA))

This is about as thick and pruney, dense and chalky as Merlot can be. It will have much appeal to some palates. The fruit is ripe, raisiny and mature, wrapped with layers of leaf and chocolate. It's a drink-now wine; not likely to improve with further cellaring. Paul Gregutt
