Dorcich 2017 Monte Bello Road Cabernet Sauvignon (Santa Cruz Mountains)

Though shy on the nose at first, this bottling from a vineyard located 2,450 feet above the San Francisco Bay offers dark-berry, packed purple-flower and charred wood aromas. The palate is a savory showcase, with sandalwood and roasted plum fruits coming through the dense tannins. Matt Kettmann
