Dovecote 2017 Thompson Vineyard Grenache Blanc (Santa Barbara County)

Lime peels, rainy cement, flint and cut grass show on the nose of this bottling from the new owners of Thompson Vineyard, which is still a tad young and inward-looking, but sure to blossom in the months to come. It's very zesty on the palate, with long-lasting flavors of lime, pear and crushed gravel. Matt Kettmann
