Dowsett Family 2016 Becklin Vineyards Pinot Noir (Oregon)

This fruit-driven, accessible wine is a showcase for the Pommard clone. Strawberry and raspberry aromas seduce immediately, and continue in the mouth with cherry also. Concentrated and luscious, this is a wine to appreciate for its youth and immediate appeal, though a few years of age certainly won't do it any harm. Just over one-fifth new French oak brings a hint of toast to the finish. Paul Gregutt
