Dr. H. Thanisch (Erben Müller-Burggraef) 2004 Graacher Himmelreich Spätlese Riesling (Mosel-Saar-Ruwer)

Intensely petrolly on the nose, with a rather full mouthfeel and dense, minerally flavors. This is stolid and sullen right now, but undeniably intense. Hints of spice on the finish bode well for the future, so stow it away for 3–4 years before trying it with something substantial, like roast pork. Joe Czerwinski
