Initial aromas of smoke and earth blow off to show ripe, rich aromas of yellow cherries and nectarines on this powerful yet nuanced Riesling. It's medium-sweet in style, with juicy, forward fruit balanced by minerality and a shock of acidity on the finish. It's delicious now, but should reveal more of its honeyed, earthy complexities as it matures over the next 7–9 years.
