Dr. Loosen 2005 Beerenauslese Riesling (Mosel-Saar-Ruwer)

Editors' Choice

An affordable BA, presumably from a variety of vineyard sites, this is relatively light in body, but it's still a sweet little wine. Fresh apple and citrus aromas and flavors fold in touches of cinnamon, finishing clean and fresh. The bright acidity suggests this may work best as a foil for foie gras or cheeses rather than as a true dessert wine. Joe Czerwinski
