Dragonette 2015 Radian Vineyard Pinot Noir (Sta. Rita Hills)

Earthy, forest floor aromas of mulberry, damp sage, bay leaf and elderflower show on the unique nose of this bottling from a dramatically set vineyard on the southwestern edge of the appellation. There's an Old World sensibility to the palate, full of dried flowers, dust and wood spice, with elegantly dried, slightly tart berry fruit and a touch of caramel on the deep finish. Matt Kettmann
