There's an intriguing earthy core to the nose of this bottling, with aromas of grilled pork, muddled mulberry and cranberries roasted over an oak fire. Similar fruit flavors show on the palate, along with brighter flashes of red currant, a tang of orange rind, a brush of iodine and a smoky show of mesquite. Matt Kettmann
