Dragonette 2018 Duvarita Vineyard Pinot Noir (Santa Barbara County)

Cohesive aromas of dried cherry, mulberry, dried game flesh and wild sage make for a very heady and complex nose on this bottling from a vineyard just west of the Sta. Rita Hills. There's a flavor of singed sage on the palate, alongside incense and patchouli, with wild cherry, cola-spice and blood elements coalescing toward the finish. Matt Kettmann
