A delicate shade in the glass, this bottling from a vineyard to the west of the Sta. Rita Hills shows damp garden herbs, charcuterie and nori on the nose before a more pure red-fruit aroma emerges. The palate is very complex with tea-leaf, marjoram and rosemary flavors that give depth to the roasted black-plum and dark-flower elements. Matt Kettmann
