Dry Creek Vineyard 1999 Reserve Fumé Blanc (Dry Creek Valley)

The nose of smoke and sweet creamed corn doesn't exactly reel you in. Then a vegetal palate featuring mostly green beans and toasty oak is way off the mark, given the variety we're talking about. The finish is heavy, mouth coating and mildly bitter.
