Dub Style 2016 No. 1 Re-Mix Cabernet Sauvignon-Shiraz (McLaren Vale)

This is the experimental label of Inkwell Wines, a husband and wife team who make small batches of wild fermented wine exclusively from their organic vineyards. This Cabernet-Shiraz blend is bright and extroverted without having to flex its muscles. The fragrant nose is a heady combo of ripe plums, red currants, rose petals, baking spices, sunbaked earth and wild bush herbs. Those flavors carry through to the sandy-textured palate, supported by slinky tannins. A touch of oak influence rears up on the finish. Christina Pickard
