Dubost 2010 Siletto Vineyard Cabernet Pfeffer (San Benito County)

Perhaps this rarely planted grape should be taken more seriously. This offers aromas of maduro cigar, leather, ash and soft cherry liqueur. The flavors are more sanguine, suggesting bloody meats boosted with dried raspberries, dried cranberries, good acidity and pronounced tannins. This will last awhile. Matt Kettmann
