Duck Pond 2005 Jory Cuvée Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)

This Pinot Noir, named for a particular soil type in the Willamette valley, is scented strongly of the lumber smell you get at a building supplies store. There is a simple but pleasing layer of strawberry/raspberry fruit hidden in the wine's core. Perhaps a year or two of bottle age will pull things together. Paul Gregutt
