Duck Walk 1998 Pinot Grigio (The Hamptons, Long Island)

Something of a misnomer, as this wine tastes more like many Alsatian Pinot Gris than the often-insipid Grigios of Italy. Honey and apricot aromas, big and buttery on the palate; the only drawback is the lack of length to the finish, possibly a function of young vines. Joe Czerwinski
