Duckhorn 2002 Estate Grown Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley)

I have criticized past Duckhorn top-tier Cabs for excessively tough tannins, and this wine continues in that tradition. The supposition is ageability, but the wines are not pleasant on release. The mid-palate fruit is huge, and the wine may well do interesting things after 2010.
